| Help
with PayPal Account
|
| PayPal is an excellent way to begin taking payments online with very little up front cost. Becoming a PayPal merchant is a fairly simple process. However, some customers prefer some hand-holding and guidance in the process. Check Yes if you would like our assistance in becoming a Verified PayPal Merchant. |
| |
| Help
with Merchant Account
|
| Accepting credit card payments online requires a dedicated Internet Merchant Account. Even if you already accept credit cards in your place of business, to take payments directly online requires a separate account. We are here to consult with you about your needs. Choose Yes if would like our assistance in acquiring an Internet Merchant Account and Payment Gateway. |

Cart & Checkout

External Cart/Checkout is OK
Inexpensive ecommerce solutions often involve third party services for the shopping cart and checkout (payment) process. Customers are taken to another website (customized with your logo) to view their cart and complete the payment process. This usually involves another browser window opening up with a form to collect credit card information and subsequent pages to complete the transaction. External Checkout is the most affordable option. If Leaving your site to make payment is OK, choose this option. If you're not sure which option to choose, select this option and state your concerns in the comments section.
Customer
Must Stay On Our Website
Offering customers a shopping experience in which they never leave your website is optimal. This increases their comfort level and decreases shopping cart abandonment.
However, depedning on the level of slickness required, this option can represent much larger up front and ongoing maintenance costs for your ecommerce website. If customers must stay on your website to complete payment, choose this option. If you're not sure which option to choose, select External Cart and state your concerns in the Comments section. |

Setup Requirements for Ecommerce will be . . .

Accepting credit card payments online requires a dedicated Internet Merchant Account. Even if you already accept credit cards in your place of business, to take payments directly online requires a separate account.
Processing Payments Off-Line
You may choose to accept orders through your website, but actually process payments using your existing credit card processing system. This process involves retrieving your orders in a secure manner and processing payment as you would a Telephone Order. If you have questions about this, please ask.
Real Time Transaction Processing
Real Time Transaction Processing involves several steps for collecting payment from the customer:
- Verifying the credit card and credentials.
- Posting a charge to the card and recording the transaction, and collecting funds into your Internet Merchant Account
- Posting the funds in your Internet Merchant Account to your Business Bank Account.
In order to accept payments on your site, In Real Time, your business will need an Internet Merchant Account (holds transactions & funds, posts money to your bank account)
and a Payment Gateway (verifies and charges the customer's card). If you would like our assistance in acquiring these services, please indicate this in the drop down menu.

| Customer Registration & Login Feature |
Customer registration allows visitors to save their information (customer profile) including their email address, mailing address, phone numbers, and other details on your site. You can use this information to learn more about who is using your website and to keep in touch with them. Your site can feature customer access to update their profiles and passwords or a scaled down version of profiles and login can be created where only you can edit this information.
Customer Login allows you to secure all or some of your website's pages. Gaining access to these pages requires visitors to enter their email address and a password.
Please let us know if you're interested in Registration & Login features. |

| Basic Forms |
| Basic Forms allow you to collect information from visitors. Standard fields such as Text Boxes, Drop Down Menus, Radio butons, Check Boxes, Reset and Submit buttons are used. When the visitor clicks the Submit button, required fields are checked to make sure they are not blank. If any required information is missing, a message prompts the visitor to supply the missing infomation. If you need to check information supplied is in a particular format, within a specified range, or have options change based on previous selections, see Smart Forms below. |
| |
| Smart Forms |
Smart Forms allow you to collect information from visitors as described above in Basic Forms. The difference is that
they can react to selections to provide different questions or options in the next question. For example, selecting a car with a number of doors
will cause a change in the Available Models list below it . . .
I would like a car with:
2 Doors
4 Doors
5 Doors
Available Models:
Please select car type above.
This list of models could be displayed as a Drop Down Menu, Radio buttons, Check boxes, etc.
Upon form submission, required fields are checked to make sure they are not blank. If any required information is missing, a message prompts the visitor to supply the missing infomation.
In addition, formats for Phone Numbers, Dates, Date Ranges, checking if an entry is a number, number range, dollar amount, and other checks, can all be verified. The visitor is always given feedback to fix the problem before they can successfully submit the form.
Information from the form can be sent to an email address or stored in a data file for further use. |

| Multi-Layered Site Navigation |
Here's a term that sounds complicated, but its not. It describes the typical menu
of links to pages on your website, but with pages nested underneath them. Here is an example of two layers. First level: Hosting, Tools, and Clients. Second layer is under Tools and includes: Promoting your website, Gathering sales leads, and Better tools.

Below, this menu goes three pages deep:

Our Semi-Custom design packages include 2 layer menus. For 3 or more layers deep, a Custom Web Project would be required. |

| Advanced Ecommerce |
To truly understand Advanced Ecommerce, let's first look at basic ecommerce. Our basic option represents your products on individual catalog pages. Each category has its own page, which shows descriptions, prices, small & large photos, and other details for your items. Customers can click to get more details, see larger pictures, and add the item to their shopping cart. Check Out / Payment takes place on PayPal's website, which processes major credit cards. Basic Ecommerce requires a Pay Pal, but not a Merchant Account. Shipping and Handling is not based on actual from and to location postage. Instead, S & H is based on a flat rate, order amount ranges, or weight ranges.
Advanced Ecommerce
can provide these advantages:
1. A searchable product catalog
2.
Onsite Checkout, customers never leave your site.
3.Real-Time Shipping Calculation for major carriers.
4.Greater Control of your money through a Merchant Account.
However, requirements are:
1. A Merchant Account to hold funds.
2. A Payment Gateway to authorize credit card purchases.
3. More robust hosting with a Database.
4. Monthly fees and per transaction fees.

| Custom Programming |
Custom programming starts with a meeting to understand your goals or problem at hand. We gather your business requirements and furnish a document to clearly spell out what your web based application needs to accomplish. Next, we discuss the functionality or "what it should look and feel like" for the people using it (Graphic User Interface or GUI).
With a firm understanding and reference documentation in place, we build it.
We provide the highest level of Quality Assurance through incremental bug testing along with your feedback and continued testing before deployment. When everyone is satisfied with the application, its deployed live on the web (or your intranet). |
| |
| Search Engine Friendliness |
Search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, and others are constantly reading all of the pages on the web. These readers are called robots. They scan the invisible behind the scenes code, as well as the stuff we can see. Search engine Friendly pages have information that is deliberately placed in them to help these robots gather and store your information in their respective search engines.
Not all web designers include this information. Some leave it out, then charge more to add it later. We make sure that the pages we write are visible to the robots and as such are Search Engine Friendly, from the start. |

| Copy Writer Pro™ Software |
| Realizing that you're busy and have more important work to do than write copy for your website, we created this tool. We employ it to ask you questions about your business and use your answers to generate a website text document with the headings and copy for your site's pages. Its made available for you to add to it, make edits, and return it to us. |
